Leadership Development Manager Location Columbia, SC : Summary Responsible for the development, management, and execution of policies, programs, and procedures related to talent management and leadership development strategies. Responsible for creating and supporting the planning, implementation, and improvement of human resources talent management functions to include leadership and management development curriculums, coaching and support for high performing staff, and structured succession management programs. Supports the development and communication of initiatives to identify/enhance/optimize diverse talents of the workforce. Directs the activities of staff and oversees the training and career development of staff. Description Location: Columbia, SC (Onsite) What You'll Do:
- Manages leadership development programs and ensures alignment with other components of the talent development strategy. Provides consulting, coaching, and feedback to leaders based on talent management process results and outcomes. Evaluates programs for success on an ongoing basis.
- Develops/drives systems and ongoing processes that identify key roles throughout the organization and high potential individuals in the organization who have potential to fill those roles. Provides guidance for career development as a part of the large-scale succession management program.
- Defines and implements practices to develop/create competency models to be used across the organization. Consults with management to gain knowledge of work areas and identify development programs and processes.
- Collaborates with members of the human resources team, business partners/customers, and management to determine workforce requirements and sourcing strategies.
- Directs the activities and provides guidance/leadership to staff. Responsible for effective collaboration/communication across teams. Communicates and enforces corporate-wide, divisional, and departmental policies and procedures. Works with other members of department leadership to set strategic direction.
Required Education: Degree Equivalency: - 4 years job related work experience or Associate's and 2 years job related work experience
Required Work Experience: - 7 years leadership and staff development experience, which may include training, training development and analysis, staffing, or succession planning. 5 years supervisory or management experience OR equivalent military experience in grade E4 or above (may be concurrent).
Required Skills and Abilities: - Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, process development, and coordination of people and resources. Able to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. Demonstrated flexibility for adapting to both changing business and client needs, and a changing technical environment. Strong interpersonal and oral/written communication skills. Demonstrated analytical and decision-making skills. Excellent and effective communication, customer service and time-management skills. Ability to communicate complex information with understanding to a variety of audiences who have different levels of experience and knowledge.
Required Software and Tools: - General word processing, database, and spreadsheet applications. Standard office equipment; phone, copier, fax, computer, etc.
Preferred Education: - Bachelor's degree-Organizational Development, Human Resources, Training, or related field.
